I had the opportunity to reopen my event + gallery space, The Martin, in June of 2021. I wanted to open with a show that celebrated artists coming together once more. The new location for The Martin is in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago, so I also wanted to develop a show centered around artists who have associations with Chicago’s west side neighborhoods. The show featured sixteen artists and twenty-three works altogether, six of them selling during the run of the exhibition. Photos by mo Santiago.
